Pee Stick

Yes, I believe most women have had a moment with the pee stick. Am I pregnant? No?!?!? What does this brand define as a positive or negative. One lines, two lines, a plus sign, negative sign, a stinkin' frowny face or do you finally just get one that tells you how it is?!? It is funny when you are trying for kids, for a new twist on life you want the stick to say pregnant. Wrap your head around that single friends!

In July I took the basic test on a Friday, one solid line...I did the test right, no second line. Yup, that meant negative. No baby yet. I went through that weekend thinking I was just having some extra PMS--boobs were sore and I bawled over a movie that was tear worthy...but not the heavy weeping that I did. I had been drinking more water for the last few weeks thinking I was just that dehydrated...I thought. And with drinking more water, I peed more and didn't think too much of that either. For those of you who have been prego, these are all the basic signs (and you are laughing at me). I put them all aside because my last test just said no. And again adding to the signs, I was ravenously hungry all weekend. I didn't eat everything in sight (but I could have). I just kept thinking to myself, 'FAT COW STOP EATING--the stick said NO!'

The week ticked away until Wednesday when I had my dentist appointment. They wanted to take x-rays, so just to be sure, I bought an Clear Blue Easy digital. Before my 7AM appointment I took the test and thought better safe than sorry. And oh mamma! A short blip of a digital hour glass turning and that pee stick just tells you how it is ...P-R-E-G-N-A-N-T. I was elated, I wanted to scream out in joy, but for pete's sake it was before 6AM. All a flutter, I let out a little squeak in the bathroom and did a happy dance. As calm as I could, I crawled back into bed and tried to casually tell Curtis the news. He was going to be a daddy, we were pregnant.

And so life begins...
